The mission of Spiritual Ministries Institute, Inc. (SMI ) is to encourage ways that open us to the work of the Spirit, but which respect and in no way diminish the uniqueness and beauty of each person’s particular Christian faith tradition. The ministry includes offering and promoting retreats, spiritual formation and training, spiritual direction, and fostering a network of active spiritual directors in the Dallas- Ft. Worth area for the purpose of continuing professional formation.

Spiritual Ministries Institute sponsors HeartPaths DFW certificate program in Spiritual Leadership and Spiritual Direction under the direction of Rev. Dr. Bob Gardenhire, III.
This program fosters spiritual discipline and deepens skills and sensitivities. It is presented in an ecumenical environment and is for both laity and professionals.
