Leadership
Eunice Cheshire, Founding Director is an experienced Spiritual Director, frequent retreat leader and serves on the Core Faculty for HeartPaths DFW. She has been published in periodicals and anthologies for spiritual formation and is the former Director of Women's Programming for Marywood Retreat Center in Jacksonville, Florida.
Nancy K. Dunkerley, Founding Director, holds a Doctor of Ministry from Perkins School of Theology (SMU). Dedicated to promoting Christian spiritual formation, she is popular as a speaker, retreat leader, and spiritual director. Fostering the ministry of spiritual direction, she has been a Regional Coordinator for Spiritual Directors International. .
Rev. E. Lee Self, Founding Director, is an ordained minister in Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). A published poet/author, she holds a Master of Divinity from Brite Divinity School (TCU). She is a knowledgeable Spiritual Director and practiced retreat leader. With her husband, Kevin, she is active in marriage enrichment ministry in Texas.
Ms. Donnie Hawley is a degreed teacher with 25 years experience as Director of Faith Formation at her church, a position from which she is now retired. Currently she is on the faculty of HeartPaths DFW. She is a certified Spiritual Director and remains active in a variety of spiritual and formational ministries.
Karen Robertson is a Spiritual Director, a Benedictine Oblate, and on HeartPaths faculty. Prior to dedicating her work full time to spiritual formation ministries, she worked for 25 years in the telecommunications industry. Although holding an engineering degree and MBA, her 4 years at the Anglican School of Theology and 3 years in HeartPaths marked “the beginning of wisdom.”
Cynthia Scott recently retired after 25 years as the regional program director for March of Dimes. She holds a BA in philosophy and religion (Mount Holyoke College), a MA in philosophy with a concentration in women's studies (University of Illinois) and a certificate in spiritual direction from the HeartPaths. She is currently enrolled at Brite School of Divinity.
